OK, maybe my head has been up my a**, but I just found a trailer for the new animated CGI Clone Wars movie. WOW, the animation is, well, a video game. Please tell me somone else has seen this and I'm not just crazy, Anakin doesn't even look like himself, and Padme, OK whatever. The plot might be good though, fill in some holes. It looks like it takes place between the first and second of the "original" clone wars cartoons. Anyone else seen this stuff?

I haven't seen the actual trailer yet, but I have been reading about it for months. The movie is coming out this summer and a weekly half hour cartoon will follow (on Cartoon Network, I think). The time frame is between Episodes II and III. Lucas has said the series will run approximately 100 episodes over ? years and will focus on the Clone Wars. One of the more interesting plot points is that we will be introduced to ANAKIN'S (not Vader's) first apprentice.

In related news, the STAR WARS LIVE ACTION SERIES is in production and should debut in Fall of 2009. The live action series will focus on minor characters and will take place at the birth of the rebellion...a tantilizing rumor is that part of the show's focus will be on Boba Fett's tumultuous teenage years! Lucas has also stated that a number of spin offs may come out of this (like anyone can say they wouldn't watch "The Wedge Antilles Variety Hour").

The Force will be with us. Always.

I would so watch the Wedge Antilles Variety Hour, but only if Lobot was the side kick or co-host and disco danced at one point during every episode. Throw in a little Jar Jar dying like Kenny from South Park at the end of every one and I think it would be a hit!

Yeah it looks pretty intense.. funny sidenote though they are actually making a video game based on the movie for the Wii which will actually allow you to lightsaber duel with the Wii remote; apparently the controls are supposed to be very intuitive and will be the lightsaber game many thousands have been dreaming about.. we shall see.

I heard they will be previewing it @Star Wars Celebration Japan which I will be attending...

Greeting Star Wars Fans! Celebration Japan is right around the corner and I am happy to announce there will once again be a Star Wars Artist's area. It's an esteemed group of artists from The United States, Japan, and the United Kingdom.

As many of you know Lucasfilm has once again granted the attending artists a one time License to sell limited Edition Prints at their Tables at Celebration Japan; just as they have for previous Star Wars Celebrations. Star Wars and Art collecting fans covet these prints, as they are only available at Star Wars Celebration Japan. To add to their exclusiveness each art design is limited to 250 prints.
