In Stephen King Goes to the Movies, he comments on five films made of his works: Shawshank Redemption, Children of the corn, Hearts In Atlantis, 1408, and The Mangler. Which is your favorite adaptation?
Shawshank Redemption, by far. I thought the others just weren't well made, or did not follow the book or story nearly close enough. Shawshank Redemption was just a well-made movie overall, which I don't think can be said about most of Stephen King's movies.
It's hard to really come up with one favorite movie, because I like many of them. I'd have to say The Stand, It, The Shining, Shawshank Redemption, 1408, Creepshow, Needfull Things, Salem's Lot. I guess I'd have to say The Stand or Salem's Lot. Tommyknocker's is okay too. So is Misery and Delores Claiborne.
