I have some spare skin parts for a 2006 GSXR 1000 that I would like to sell on eBay. These are factory parts that I had to replace because of some minor damage (scratches) on my son's new motorcycle. He had less than 250 miles on it before my grandson laid it down to avoid crashing into an oncoming vehicle. Would any of you offer an opinion as to whether eBay would be a good place to sell/auction these near new parts? Would it be best to sell the complete set (left and right side cowling and under cowling) or would it be best to list each individual part?
Well depends, on if you are looking on a specific amout of money or are just trying to make some money and not collect dust. Used sets seem to take a bit longer to sell than individual used pieces; having said that, some pieces are more "in demand" than others (the ones that first hit when you go down). I have seen some used pieces sit on there for weeks with no bids, I suppose how you label it can limit your audience too. Whatever your choice take pictures that show damage if any and display the worth of your item (clean it too) note any damage in text and note also if there is no damage, note that they are OEM. List Fairings-skins-bodywork-covers, if individual, LH, RH, upper, lower, etc. When looking I run across wierd things like misspellings, odd descriptions, and other small mistakes that cause things not to show up where they are intended to.
