Hello, My wife and I are both teachers in publics schools. I (Tommy) teach Special Education - Medically Fragile for very disabled students at Marysville Pilchuck High School, Marysville, WA. We happen to be the largest high school in the state with over 2700 students. My wife, Tammy, teaches CTE (Career & Technical Education) in the area of Floral Design / Flora Culture at Everett High School, Everett, WA. They have about 1300 students with a lot of low income and ELL students. Hope to hear about more teachers on eBay. Tommy
I'm a teacher too, but not teaching right now...currently I’m a graduate student conducting research about online auctions and I’m looking for people that sell online and would be willing to participate in online interviews to tell about their eBay or other online auction selling experiences?? I want to find people that have sold many different types of items. Would you be willing to help??? Please contact me if you have some good experiences to share.
My Husband and I are college students and while he is going to be a cop, I can't wait to be a teacher. I have one year left of school and I really prefer 3rd and 4th grades. I tutor through americorp, work at the local boys and girls club and sub 3 days a week. it is the first job i have ever had that I cant wait to get to and hate to leave at the end of the day.

Hello fellow teachers! My name is Troy and I'm glad that eBay finally created a teacher group in their neighborhoods. I began selling on eBay after I discovered an amazingly quiet pencil sharpener. I just knew that other teachers should have this same sharpener in their classroom. (We all know how frustrating it is to be interrupted by a noisy sharpener during a lesson!) I decided to use eBay as a way of sharing this great sharpener with other teachers. So far, the feedback is wonderful and teachers are very pleased. I hope you are all having a great experience buying and selling on eBay. Troy

Hello! My name is JoAnna DuBose and I live in Louisiana. I am currently a senior in college, working towards my Bachelor’s degree in elementary education with an add-on certification in special ed. mild/moderate. I always dreamed of being a famous scientist or making lots of money as a physician, but all of that changed when I started working as a paraprofessional (teacher’s aide) at a local high school with students who have special needs. What started as a “job” to make some cash while attending college turned out to be a life-changing experience. My decision to change my major from biology to elementary education meant that most of the credits I had earned would no longer count towards my degree. I’ve been a senior for the past 2 years (haha) and still have 2 years left of school (I laugh to keep from crying). Anyways, it’s nice to meet all of you! I’m so happy I found this neighborhood!
Hi there, So nice to meet you. I have been retired from teaching since 2002 and loving it. Where do teachers go after retirement? EBAY, of course! I sell a variety of treasures because I like to go lookin' for good stuff. It's a great income supplement for that health insurance. Best of luck to you. Dot
Greetings, i'm Moses Durazo from Weapons of Mass Instruction, Inc. You could say i'm a teacher, but not the kind you find in a classroom settting. I'm a graduate of UCSC's language studies program, and have been dedicating myself to developing a new system of learning. The immediate product that came from this is Bilingual Nation. This is a line of language learning products based on Mp3 technology. It's pretty awesome, and we feel that these systems are going to revolutionize the way we learn everything from language, to musical instruments, to science - everything.
This could be a whole other post in itself, but think about how the common complaint regarding budget cuts and schools is that "we need better education, more programs, etc". We need to keep up with the times and use tools that are already in student's hands- the mp3 player. If we could just insert education into these things along with their hip-hop, then who knows, we just might start solving some serious problems that affect us all, students and teachers and humanity as a whole.

( I have 4 children of my own ~ so I kept starting and stopping). I am finishing up my Master's degree this December.
