I have used them some in the work I do, I renovate, remodel old houses. For some carpentry applications they come in handy. like cutting circles. I can honestly say, I have had one for about 5 years and have only used it maybe three or four times. I find it a little hard to control and the bits are a little pricey. I have found that for most applications I can use a hand tool or a dremel just as well. There are people out there that swear by them though. Maybe my problem is that I have small hands, I'm female, and as with many power tools they are designed for larger hands and I have a hard time controling them. Getting the batteries off of some cordless tools is next to impossible;)
They would be if you were installing drywall for a living but otherwise not really. They are such a specialty use tool, you're much better off with a multi use tool.
We were distributors for Rotozip for awhile, but they make it too competitive for the little guy. They do have excellent customer service and a great warranty policy if any of that matters.
