I only have about 2500 to spend but I'm a single mother (in MD) in desperate need of a reliable car. I would wait and save up but I live in the burbs and it's hell getting around.
So, I'm looking for a reliable NOT-AMERICAN used car. Please tell me (1) how many miles is too many miles? (2) how old is too old? (3) what's the best make/model to look for with my menial funds?
Hello, As I told the other poster here - there are plenty of cheap, reliable cars around if you know where to look or the right people to ask. And you don't need to buy an import to get reliability. My current vehicle is a 1995 Chrysler LHS that has 188k miles on it and hasn't cost me a dime since I bought it three years ago for $650. The car I had before that was a 1996 Buick LeSabre that had 320k miles on it when I sold it for $100 less than I paid for it two years prior. If you need any advice I'll try to help, and keep checking our listings as we have lots of good reliable cars coming up for auction.
