My husband and I are truck drivers (owner/operators). We currently have Nextel/Sprit service. We are thinking about changing our service to Verizon. He will need unlimited calling and I will need a small (minutes) package. We also need an air card for our wireless laptop while on the road. I have also heard that they now offer a wireless high speed connection for your home computer too. If that is so, I would want that as well. Does anyone know if they have a package that would accomodate all of my requirements? Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kim

I have been a Verizon customer for a Loooong time... I have the broadband access your referring about BUT you actually have several options...
1. You can get broadband access but signal strength varies upon verizon's access. cost is $60 per month with unlimited usage (minutes). This is used as like a dial-up modem but ALOT faster speeds.
2. I have a blackberry pearl which I am able to turn my home computer or any computer to have internet access by tethering my phone with it. The Moto Q also has this capability. The cost amount is maybe slightly cheaper and the connectivity is not as good as the broadband modem but it is EZ enough to plug my phone into the computer.

FYI also... I am selling my broadband modem on ebay now.. 6/10/08. I paid $250 with 2yr contract. starting @ $130. It is a USB727 Novatel Modem. Can be turned on... and shouldn't have to sign a 2yr contract!

Check out T-Mobile , I think it's the much better choice and don't forget you can buy and use any GSM unlocked phone .You end up with more choices.
