I have been a fan of Final Fantasy from the start i own every game and i collect also anything of Final Fantasy. When i heard the FF13 was going to be on the 360 i lost it and was very mad about that, i love PlayStation and FF and i dont think that Square should have in my eyes betray Sony? What do you guys think????
There are a lot of things wrong with this statement.
So....been a fan from the begining even though it started on Nintendo? Is that betraying sony? The Video game business being a BUSINESS and while living in a recession, is that betraying sony? Was there an exclusivity contract with sony? Pretty sure crystal chronicles was coming out for gamecubes.
Thats just the icing...does it REALLLLY matter what console this game should be on? dont be a wuss man.
I understand that its a busness i get that and i know times are hard i get that, and to tell you the truth the main series of final fantasy was exclusive to sony, aside from the nintendo releases that i do not have a problem with, my statement is this when hirinobou sakaguchi was still with square he was all for sony he didnt care about 360, i just think that the games should stay were thet belong, im not being a wuss, im just exspressing my feelings.
I think you're being a bit naive about the industry and a bit of a Sony fanboy/fangirl as well. Poopy beard isn't talking about FF: Crystal Chronicles for the GC and other iterations on handhelds but the fact that FFI-VI all appeared on Nintendo consoles previous to the PS1 getting FFVII. Third party exclusives are a "what have you done for me lately" type of thing and the fact is that 3rd party games sell better on the 360 (install base+larger percentage of hardcore gamers this gen due to earlier launch and some great games). Square Enix knows this and is hedging it's bets that it's going to get the best ROI by releasing on both. Last 2 gens, it made sense to go Sony only as they dominiated both quite handily. This gen Sony is in 3rd place and the Wii is geared more to kids so just do the math.
Granted, Sony does have some great first party exclusives and the one crown jewel 3rd party game in MGS4...but even that sold less that expected (thus MGS: Rising going to the 360 as well).
In the end, it doesn't really matter as you get to play the game as a PS3 only owner as well and it takes nothing away from you for the Xbox guys to get it too. Be a fan of games, not systems.
I am also a huge fan of all things Final Fantasy. I have played it on game boys, Nintendo, play station, dslite, and pcs. I play it online, so yes I expect I am a huge fan.
But why limit a game to one select group? Honestly, I am tired of buying new game platforms every time FF comes out. I have PS1 and PS2 I have WII and Xbox I have DSlite and Game boy...dear god do I really need another game platform, I am speaking of the PS3.
Please give me a break and make the games user friendly on all platforms. Trust me Sony gets lots of money from me.If I can't get FF on the platforms I have then I will not be playing it...I seriously can't afford to buy yet another game system for only one game.
