I have a wii and i have never regretted buying it. It can do so many wonderful things plus it is like a hundred dollars less than the other next generation systems. I don't think th e price is coming down until a couple of years. My recommendation: GET IT!
I have a Wii and do not regret it , I find it is better then XBOX360 however it depends on what you are looking for in a product. I haven't had any gliches just tons of fun!!! The price is good for a Wii. the only problem is that it's hard to find them in stores. I really dont' understand why Nintendo doesn't make more. I think they actually like how the market is for thier system. $250.00 in stores and about $300-$350 on Ebay/Craig's list.
Every system has glitches. Nintendo is working on them as well as Sony and Microsoft. You won't see a price drop until the next wave of Next Gen Consoles.
