It has been a long time since I visited - and was wondering where everyone gets their information on "dating an item". I was using the Vintage Clothing Boards and they had all that great information pinned to the top. Now I have one website that has Vintage labels that helps, but I lack the words for the different styles. Is there a good book anyone can recommend that is a good resource for this information?
Try Judith Miller's "Buy Keep or Sell". It covers not only clothing designers but all areas of vintage collection. It's a valuable resource that I plan never to give away. It highlights the popular designs or designs by decades and estimated value.
