I am growing various herbs such as thai basil, flat parsley, chervil, savory, oregano. All these and some veggies are growing on my patio of my 2nd story apt. I am in FL so growing season is pretty much all year round. :-)

Can you start your planting indoors? If not can you create a small green house effect for your herb section outdoors if its not too cold? Have you thought about a cold frame?

Yes, I have a small greenhouse I grow herbs in year round. I pretty much have to keep a steady growth of greens growing so as I can properly supply my circle with their needed herbs and remedies.
