Looking for a selling assistant for wine.

According to eBay rules regarding selling wine, they offer this advice...

"If you as an individual want to sell alcohol on eBay, we suggest that you contact one of the licensed sellers on the site. ...."

I have a good deal of experience with eBay so I get requests from friends and family and friends of friends etc... to help with eBay related needs. My Brother-in-law called me and inquired about selling wine on eBay. I was pretty sure it was possible but I have not done it, and I knew there would be some pretty strict rules. So it seems like the best idea would be for me to work with someone else to accomplish this. My Brother-in-law owns a successful restaurant (here) in the Seattle eastside area. He has a fairly large amount of wine he would like to sell, I don't have all the specifics but I think it would definately be worth someone's time to work with him to sell this wine. If somebody here could help connect me with an authorized, experienced, seller I would sure appreciate it.

Thanks in advance ...John

I would suggest having your brother call the Alcoholic Beverage Control in Seattle.. In CA, anyone who holds a retail license to sell alcohol can also sell their product via the internet, but the laws may vary in each state! For example, in CA, people who try to sell wine on line without a license can be charged with 23300 BP, a misdemeanor in CA. Good Luck!
