Hey everyone; As you can see from my profile, I have been on eBay for quite a while, and loving every minute of it. I have slowed down in the last little while - again. Seems to come and go in spurts. I saw this neighborhood thing and thought it might be a good place to meet new people who have similar interests as I do.... So here I am. I write a LOT - I always make sure that I write at least 1,000 words a day, while my daily goal is 10 pages. My genre of choice is Mysteries, my most successful genre is Childrens and I write in ALL other genres, including Historical and Western (my LEAST favorite). It has been suggested that purhaps the reason that I have yet to be published is the fact that I haven't 'settled' into one genre and really made it mine. Perhaps that is true. the problem is that I have so many stories inside of me that lend themselves so well to the different genres, that I just have to go where my characters and my muse take me. My husband is fond of saying that I will become one of the most prolific writers after my death - when he gets everything published! LOL In the menatime, I just love to write, and keep on doing it, no matter what. Now onto the area where I am in need of help... Can anybody tell me how to get my picture into the space with my name so that my posts will sport an actual face instead of this 'empty head' that eBay has been kind enough to provide? Welcome to the Writers Discussion board. I'm sorry but I can not help you with the logo, as I have never inserted one myself. But I do know that the logos that appear hear are the same logos that show up on the posters feedback page. I am not sure if this has anything to do with it, but there is a logo - branding link under Marketing Tools that is used on the end of auction invoices and e-mails.
Where your writing is concerned, there have been many authors throughout time that have written sucessfully in many diffrent genres, until they found the one that best suited them and settled down. When starting out it is like dating. You may date many diffrent people before you find the one you want to settle down with.
I think, I figured out the logo. I just inserted one by clicking on my feedback number, off to the right side you will find View more options, this is a drop down, click on View eBay My World. Then follow the bouncing ball. You can use one of your own or one of eBays.
Hey, again voodoonites. I'm sorry for not thanking you earlier for your asssitnace with this picture 'thing'. But, alas, I still don't get it. :-( I have tried everything to get a picture of me up here and the only picture I can even begin to access is the one that is my 'store front'. In my case it is a picture of a porch. It's a pretty porch, mind you, but a porch none-the-less, and I can pretty much guarantee you that it looks nothing like me. LOL Don't worry about it though, I don't have time to fiddle with it right now anyway, and maybe I'll just decide that a porch is better than an 'empty head'.
