I've never tried pilates but I do Yoga every day. I've found that Yoga helps tremendously with stress especially with the breathing exercises. Yoga sounds/music help too.
Hello, new to the NH and do both yoga and pilates. I found both to be relaxing in their own way. Yoga is a great stress buster and Pilates, I love to strettttttttttttch. Both are great...DJ
I also do both yoga and pilates and as dynamicsoundenclosures said, both have their benefits.
I personally find yoga to be more relaxing and peaceful which would potentially make it a better stress-buster (stretching, breathing, focusing on what your body is doing), whereas I find pilates to be more painful (repeating lots of exercises to wear out your core). Though a lot of this could depend on a particular teacher and the particular form of yoga or pilates they choose to teach.
